3rd Annual California in the Global Marketplace

Korn Convocation Hall
UCLA Anderson School
Thursday, December 11, 2003
8:00am - 3:30pm

September 11th and the SARS outbreak illustrated the dark-side of globalization: that borders open to trade and investment are also open to a variety of dangers, both natural and man-made. This issue has come to dominate national policy debates as government at every level work towards ensuring public safety. What is being done? What can be done? How will it impact trade and investment, and what does it mean for California competing in the global marketplace? Come join the UCLA Anderson Forecast as it teams up with the UCLA CIBER center to present the 3rd annual global conference on California and its international linkages. Panels of experts will address these important issues, and the Forecast's economists will present the forecast for the nation, state and local economies.
